Coby Grant ist eine unabhängige Musikerin, die selbstständig alle Bereiche ihres Musikerinnendaseins betreut. Dies beinhaltet sämtliche Bereiche, von der finanziellen Eigenverantwortung über Buchung, Tourneeorganisation, Online-Auftritt, Tonträger-Produktion bis hin zum Marketing. Trotz dieser großen Bandbreite an Aufgaben betreibt sie ihre Musik mit einer Hingabe und Freude die einen die Liebe zu ihrer Musik sofort spüren lässt.
Nachdem sie ihr erstes vertragliches Engagement mit Gaga Publishing eingegangen ist, wurde ihr Titel "Song about me" im Rahmen einer skandinavischen TV-Werbung dort sehr bekannt und bescherte der Liedermacherin sowohl finanziellen als auch künstlerischen Erfolg. Vor diesem Hintergrund ergriff sie die Gelegenheit und verbrachte rund fünf Jahre mit Tourneereisen, währenddessen sie viele Hundert Auftritte im Rahmen von Solo-Konzerten und Festivals in Europa absolvierte und erspielte sich somit eine große Fan-Basis in Deutschland und den Niederlanden.
Auch ihr Song "I wanna be the one", der Teil der Filmmusik im erfolgreichen niederländischen Film "Hartenstraat" war, führte die Linie des Erfolges stetig weiter voran. Dieser Titel zählt auch aktuell noch immer zu ihren meist-gestreamten Songs. In den Niederlanden wurde sie darüber hinaus von SonyATV unter Vertrag genommen und sie arbeitete mit LiveNation als Buchungs-Agent zusammen. Ein Highlight dieser Zusammenarbeit waren die Auftritte im Vorprogramm der World-Tour von Josh Groban in Paris, Brüssel und Amsterdam vor bis zu 7200 Zuschauern pro Abend.
Das letzte Jahr war vor allem geprägt durch die Veröffentlichung von "Winter Bear". Song und Video erreichten auf dem Wege viraler Multiplikation, im Wesentlichen über Facebook, in kürzester Zeit rund 4 Mio. Aufrufe und wurde dort über 44.000 mal geteilt. Dieser sehr emotionale Song ist mit einem beeindruckenden Mitgefühl geschrieben und beschreibt den authentischen Fall einer Totgeburt. Text und Melodie sind so treffend auf die Gefühle trauernder Eltern auf der ganzen Welt zugeschnitten und bringen die unfassbare Trauer, wie auch die grenzenlose Liebe zum Ausdruck, die sich bei einem solchen Ereignis zeigen. Seit der Veröffentlichung und dem hohen Zuspruch wurde der Song zu einer Stellvertretung für das bislang viel zu wenig beachtete Schicksal von Kindstod und Totgeburt. Der Großteil der Einnahmen gehen als Spenden an Organisationen die sich diesem traurigen Leiden verschrieben haben. In diesem Zusammenhang war ein Auftritt mit dem Song „Winter Bear“ auch Bestanteil im australischen Frühstücks-TV. „Winter Bear“ ist zudem die erste Single Auskopplung des brennend erwarteten, neuem Album, welches voraussichtlich 2019 erscheinen wird. Mit ihrem nunmehr dritten Album stellt die Künstlerin auch weiterhin ihren Elan und ihre Kreativität unter Beweis.
Ihre Leidenschaft für Musik entdeckte Coby bereits in jungen Jahren. Ihr Vater Peter war ebenfalls professioneller Musiker, so dass die musikalische Früherziehung quasi Bestandteil ihrer Kindheit war. Seit ihrem ersten Auftritt mit 16 Jahren stand für Coby fest, dass sie ihr Leben dem Schreiben und Spielen von Musik widmet und sie damit ihrem Herz sowie ihrem Traum folgt.

Auftritte mit bekannten Künstlern, lukrative Veröffentlichungsverträge und Studio-Alben in namhaften Studios schmücken bislang ihre Vita.
Im Rahmen der Zusammenarbeit mit SonyATV entstand auch das Stück „I will be OK now“ in Zusammenarbeit mit dem mehrfach mit Plantin ausgezeichneten Produzenten MachoPhsycho (Pink, Justin Timberlake, Cher, Backstreet Boys). Die Electronic Pop DJ’s The Onyx Twins & FlyBoy haben Coby den Gesang-Teil übertragen und der Song zählt bei Spotify aktuell mehr als 2 Millionen Klicks.
Auch die von der Musik-Kritik hochgelobten Festivals wie z.B. Port Fairy Folk Festival, Apollo Bay Music Festival und mehrfach das Spektakel Landshut zählt die Künstlerin zu ihren festen Auftrittsorten. Ihre stimmliche Emotionalität wird oft mit Eva Cassidy, Joni Mitchel sowie Alanis Morrisette verglichen. Ihre Songs ziehen den Zuhörer in den Bann und nehmen ihn mit in ihre Welt aus Liebe, Reise und den Lektionen des Lebens. Diese Kombination, zusammen mit ihrem unprätentiösen und dennoch einverleibenden Bühnenpräsens, bescherten Coby zahlreiche Auftritten in den Vorprogrammen namhafter Künstler, wie u.a. dem Emmy-Preisträger Toni Childs, dem englischen Hitparaden Star Newton Faulkner oder auch den mehrfach mit Platin ausgezeichneten Künstlern Josh Groban und Don McLean, dem Sänger der legendären Nummer "American Pie".
Derzeit lebt Coby in Deutschland. Sie beschreibt, dass sie sich in Deutschland, in die hiesige Kultur und die Menschen mit ihrer Liebe zur Musik ihrerseits verliebt hat. Viele ihrer Stücke liefen bereits in privaten und öffentlich-rechtlichen Musiksendern wie SWR 3, Bayern 3, Radio Gong und einigen mehr. Ihr Musikjahr verbringt sie zur Hälfte in Deutschland, wo ihre neuen Stücke entstehen und die andere Hälfte verbringt sie auf Tournee oder auf Heimatbesuch in Melbourne.
Ein aufregendes Abenteuer war ihre Teilnahme in der 2018er Staffel von "THE VOICE OF GEMANY". Mit ihren Auftritten verzauberte die Halbfinalistin ein Millionenpublikum vor den TV-Geräten.

Coby Grant is an independent musician, managing every facet of her career - bookings, international tours, online presence, writing, recording and marketing her music, financially supporting herself and the considerable expenses involved. All the while with a huge smile on her face because one thing is obvious when you see Coby sing- she is doing something that she absolutely loves.
After Gaga Publishing signed Coby and placed her original song “A Song About Me” into a Scandinavian TVC five years ago, life has been pretty busy for this folk/pop singer-songwriter. Coby grabbed the opportunity and spent five years living out of a suitcase and playing hundreds of shows and festivals in Europe, focusing on Germany and Holland where her fan bases have grown considerably.
She was signed with SonyATV in the Benelux, who placed “I Wanna Be The One”, from her album “I Was Young” into the successful Dutch movie “Hartenstraat”. This track is now her most streamed song online. The relationship with Sony and her Dutch booking agent, LiveNation, also saw Coby support Josh Groban at Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome Arena, playing for over 7000 people. The tour with Josh included sold out shows in Brussels and Paris, a great opportunity for this independent artist.
Coby has had an astonishing past year, connecting with people all around the globe with her recent release ‘Winter Bear’. The song and video went viral within a week of posting it on Facebook and has reached a staggering 3.3 million views and 44K shares. It’s an emotional track beautifully written for a family whose son was stillborn. Coby’s lyrics have captured the feelings of many bereaved parents around the world - expressing both the unimaginable grief and the unconditional love they have experienced. Since the release, and the incredible response, Coby has become an advocate for raising awareness about infant and pregnancy loss with half of the proceeds of ‘Winter Bear’ donated to charities or organisations that support families who have lost a child as well as further research into SIDS and Stillbirth. Coby also performed the song live on Australia’s National television broadcast the ABC News Breakfast Show and it is the first single from her much-anticipated album ‘Solid Ground’ to be released early 2019. Having already released two other original albums, there are no signs of slowing down for this artist.
Coby discovered her passion for music at a young age. Her father, Peter, was also a professional touring musician in his 20s and her childhood home was filled with music. Since her first gig at 16 years old, Coby knew she would follow her heart and her dream to write and play music.
“For me, music was always about human connection. The ability to touch people, to bring them together through joy, love, heartache, forgiveness or pain. Music is the language we all understand and I feel very lucky to have it as such a huge part of my life.”
Coby has secured major publishing deals, worked with well-known artists and recorded albums in world-class studios. While working with SonyATV, she also wrote ‘I Will Be Ok Now’ with multi-platinum Swedish music producers MachoPsycho (Pink, Justin Timberlake, Cher, Backstreet Boys). Electronic DJs The Onyx Twins and FlyBoy recorded the track with Coby as a featured artist and it has now reached over 2 million clicks on Spotify.
Coby has captivated audiences at critically acclaimed music festivals such as Port Fairy Folk Festival, Apollo Bay Music Festival and Stadtspektakel Festival. Her emotion filled voice has drawn comparisons to Eva Cassidy, Joni Mitchell and Alanis Morrisette. Her songs take the listeners on a journey into her world of love, travel and life lessons. This combination, along with her easy and authentic stage manner, has seen Coby secure support slots for major artists including Emmy-winning Toni Childs, UK chart-topping Newton Faulkner, multi-platinum artist Josh Groban and Don McLean with his U.S. number one hit ‘American Pie’.
Coby currently lives in Germany. She fell in love with the country, the culture, the people and their love for music. Coby has had various tracks played across major German radio stations such as Bayern 3, SWR3 and Radio Gong. She continues to write music in Germany and travels for six months of the year, touring all over the world from Berlin to Melbourne.
In what could be her biggest adventure yet, Coby was a semi finalist in the 2018 season of "The Voice of Germany". With her performances she touched millions of hearts. The exposure from this show has led to some big opportunities, including signing with top German booking agent, FKP Scorpio.
