100% Australian Sweetheart Coby Grant Takes LA

With influences like Carole King, The Eagles, Eric Clapton and Joni Mitchell, and a sound compared to Regina Spektor, Colbie Caillat, and Ingrid Michaelson, this Australian native has something different, something extra, something special - an uncanny ability to connect with her audience through her charming and earnest lyrics about life, love and everything in between, breezy acoustic simplicity, beautiful melodies, sweet voice and infectious grin.

Fresh off the heels of an Australian tour where she was promoting her latest EP Fanfare For Love to sold out houses in Perth, Melbourne, and Sydney, Coby is suddenly seeing an influx of international fans. This is in part due to the placement of her single, "A Song About Me," in a multi-national Scandinavian television commercial for Coca Cola's water brand, Bon Aqua. The song's success and rise in popularity brought about a 25 city European tour of which she is currently in the midst. She will then be heading to North America for her 35-city tour, which kicks off on the East Coast.

Recorded in Boston with Grammy award-winning producer Anthony J. Resta (Collective Soul, Elton John, Duran Duran, Shawn Mullins), Coby is looking forward to bringing the songs from Fanfare for Love back to the US, where it all began.

Ms. Grant's upcoming Los Angeles area dates include performances at The Mint, Room 5, LeStat's San Diego, and a pending show at Origami Vinyl in Echo Park.

But for Coby Grant, a Scandinavian commercial for Bon Aqua (a Coca Cola Company brand) is music to her ears. “A Song About Me’’ from the Australian-born singer-songwriter’s first EP, “Coby Grant Is in Full Color,’’ accompanied the commercial and generated a European tour and this North American tour. Tonight’s set list will include selections from her latest EP, “Fanfare for Love,’’ which was recorded in Boston.
